Just Because Card - Create a Critter Cartridge

I made this card "Just Because", not for any challenge and not for anyone particular.  But who doesn't need cards to send just to say hello and to send a handwritten letter?  With all the technology, I am certain that receiving a spontaneous handwritten message is not only getting rare but greatly appreciated.  My challenge for myself is that tomorrow after church and maybe a nap I sit down and write three letters!

Recipe:
Card Base: PTI  Dark Chocolate 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  PTI Pure Poppy 4" X 5 1/4" layered on PTI Summer Sunrise 4 1/8" X 5 3/8"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  PTI Spring Rain and Aqua Mist, sei Desigener Paper "Penelope's Potpourri" lush lines
Ink: PTI True BLack
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) Asian Fusion
Accessories: Cricut & Create a Critter and Forever Young (flower) Cartridges, Signo White pen, Cuttlebug & Mesh Embossing Folder, and Ribbon I bought at Dollar Tree!

  3. Love the mesh texture on the birdie. I don't have that one and haven't seen it. I will look harder for that folder. Wonderful sweet card with great fun colors.

  6. First I was inspired to craft beautiful cards and home decor items but now you're giving me motivation to catch up on correspondence long overdue. What shows you care better than a beautiful handmade card and a written note or letter. Thanks Laurie for not just the inspiration but the motivation!

  13. So cute! You're right on about the written word being a lost art these days. That's part of why I love card making so much!
