Airplane Birthday - Everyday Paper Dolls Cartridge

Today is my husband's birthday and can you believe I hadn't made him a card yet!!  Don't tell him that I haven't been working on it for weeks!  LOL!!  He is a pilot in the Air Force and of course loves airplanes and in fact has a little two seater plane.  I have some great pictures of my kids flying with him.  I will try to post them later.  I am not a good flyer.  I am fine in a passenger plane but get VERY sick in the little planes.  Yes, I have to carry a special little baggy!  TMI, right?  Plus, right now I am pregnant and am avoiding ANYTHING that might be feel even a little sick!  Anyway, the kids do great.  Thank goodness!  Now he doesn't expect me to go.

I cut this cute little airplane, that my four year old says is "boring", from Cricut Everyday Paper Dolls.  There are a ton of images on this cartridge.  Mini Monograms though retired I still love and used for the sentiment layers.  Cricut tip:  The DCWV paper is pretty thick and textured so I turned my speed down to med, pressure is still on max.

Here is what I came up with.  Last minute and super quick!  SHHHHHHHH!

I used my Gypsy, so the dimensions are a little different.
Airplane is 4.5" w X 2.2" h.  Scallop circles was cut at 2.2" and then other layers are proportional!  SO EASY to layer!  My Cricut does all the work for me!

Recipe:
Card Base: White 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  Black 4" X 5 1/4" layered with SU Real Red DP
Other Cardstock / Paper:  DCWV Old World Stack, Black, White
Ink: SU White, PTI True Black
Stamps: Verve Fancy Florals Remixed (sentiment), Posh Impressions cloud stamp
Accessories: Gypsy with Cricut Expression & Everyday Paper Dolls and Mini Mongrams, SU Real Red ribbon

Thanks so much for visiting today!

Have a great crafting day!

Wonderful masculine card! The cricut does the cutting, but you have all the great ideas. Love the colour scheme and that striped ribbon is awesome!

Why does he think it's boring? I like it! Maybe he just needs one to play with and then it won't be so boring anymore. *chuckle*

Well the card is anything BUT boring. Great colors and so cute too!
