It's Blog Hop time over on Papertrey Ink!
Here's the challenge again:
There is always a lot of focus on Christmas in our industry this time of year, as that is what the majority of the population celebrates. However, this month's blog hop is dedicated to those that celebrate winter holidays other than Christmas. Create a project that celebrates Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or some other winter holiday as we embrace everyone's beliefs in a celebration of diversity through paper crafting.
This was a great challenge! But I found out that I am not very cultured and know very little about Hanakkah. Thank goodness for my Cricut and cartridges! I think I can celebrate any holiday! However, I did have to write in the Hanakkah part of the sentiment because I just realized I don't have any Hanakkah stamps. That will have to change!! You never know when you will need one for a Jewish friend.

Card Base: PTI Ocean Tides 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front: PTI Aqua Mist 4" X 5 1/4" layered with Aqua Mist stamped to make DP!
Other Cardstock / Paper: SU Brushed Gold, PTI Summer Sunrise, White, Striped DP scrap
Ink: SU Blue Bayou, Baja Breeze
Stamps: PTI Top Ten (Happy part of the sentiment), A Little Argyle
Accessories: Baja Breeze marker for Hanakkah part of sentiment, BasicGrey Ribbon, SU Oval Punches, Cricut & Joys of Season Cartridge

What a great menorah & fabulous card! I also had to "cheat" and use JustRite's alphabets for the Chanukah part (still not sure why there are so many different spellings?)!

Spelling variations are due to transliteration of Hebrew Chet Nun Vav Kaf Hey
In Hebrew, the word Hanukkah is written ×—× ֻ×›×” or ×—× ×•×›×” (Ḥǎnukkâh). It is most commonly transliterated to English as Chanukah or Hanukkah, the former because the sound represented by "CH" ([χ], similar to the Scottish pronunciation of "loch") essentially does not exist in the modern English language. Furthermore, the letter "chet" (×—), which is the first letter in the Hebrew spelling, is pronounced differently in modern Hebrew (voiceless uvular fricative) than in classical Hebrew (voiceless pharyngeal fricative), and neither of those sounds is unambiguously representable in English spelling. Moreover, the 'kaf' consonant is geminate in classical (but not modern) Hebrew. Adapting the classical Hebrew pronunciation with the geminate and pharyngeal Ḥeth can lead to the spelling "Hanukkah"; while adapting the modern Hebrew pronunciation with no geminate and velar Ḥeth leads to the spelling "Chanukah".
