He was 8 pounds 6.7 ounces and 20 1/2"!
And 8 days early!
Everything went really well, but the baby was born with some bruising on his face (which I have never seen but apparently is not uncommon) and I somehow now have a new antibody in my blood that has never been there before which all put the baby at a higher risk for jaundice. My husband and I have different blood types and our kids have his type and I'm not sure I understand (after having it explained so many times) but either this baby or the last baby's blood mixed a little with mine which caused the antibody to appear. So there were some extra texts and precautions but thankfully he never even showed ANY signs of turning yellow!
I already have planned a scrapbook page of his little bruised face with the title, "You should see the other baby!" and maybe some boxing gloves! LOL!
The bruising was gone in less than two days! Before even coming home!
Also this labor was a little harder than my last three which had me a little spoiled! I think his shoulders were wider than the others and he took a little work and extra pushing to get them out. So I wasn't quite up as soon as I'm used to. Still no stitches though! YEAH!
Just some pictures with loving siblings! Doesn't he look lucky and well loved?
Let's go HOME!!
I'm home!
Thanks so much for all your well wishes! They have meant the world to me!

ReplyDeleteLaurie, I am so happy for you. I had the Rh factor too and had to have a shot before and after baby was born. So glad you all came out of it well. I'm sure he'll be just as handsome as the rest and God Bless you! I had my little girl Oct 7th. I got slightly electrocuted on my hind side and I still can't sit for long. Complications from the C-section! Argh! What we go through to have these little angels!
