Papertrey Paper Dolls Challenge #1

I am so honored and excited to be a member of the blog group Papertrey Paper Dolls!  We have a great bunch of talented and diverse women.  I have been out of town for the past week, and if fact, just got back yesterday late afternoon, but I had to put together a quick and easy card for our first challenge.  The deadline is in about an hour!  So I have to quickly get this post ready.

For the flower image I cut the first layer the good ole fashion way with scissors and LOVE then I layered it over Pacific Point layer cut out with the PTI coordianting die.  I used a paintbrush and applied Iridescent Medium (I really like shimmery things).  Then I added blue stickles to the center!  The leaves I bent up for a crinkled leaf look.

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Pacific Point 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Other Cardstock / Paper: Old Olive, White, Pacific Point
Ink: SU Pacific Point, Old Olive
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) Delightful Dahlia, Signature Greetings
Accessories: PTI Delightful Dahlia dies, buttons and thread, stickles, Iridescent Medium, blender pen

First I-top Brad Maker Card

MojoMonday Sketch Challenge Time #135! I needed a thank you card because a friend invited us over for a cook out and swimming this past Saturday.  Yes, it is warm enough here to go swimming and yes she invited us ALL! However only 7 of us were able to attend.  My oldest had a school activity.  I mean you have to a saint to be willing to have my crew over or CRAZY!!  Maybe I made the wrong kind of card!  Maybe I should have done a "Do you feel alright?" card or "Are you nuts?" card!  We had such a good time:  good food, great friends, and tons of laughter and fun.

Anyway, here is what I came up with.   I hope they like it and know how much we love and appreiciate them and their friendship.  We feel so blessed to have such great friends in our lives.

I have had my I-Top brad maker for such a long time, and I am embarrassed to say I hadn't even opened the brads before making this card.  I am going to LOVE it, although the paper I used is really thick and also textured; so it turned out a little bumpy. If you have a tool that you have either never used or is gathering dust I challenge you to get it out.  Other new tools I am loving right now are the BRAND new Papertrey Ink dies. I used the small scallop die this time.

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Pacific Point (retired In Color soon to be a regular SU color!) 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  So Saffron 4 1/8" X 5 3/8"
Riding Hood Red (retired In Color soon to be a regular SU color!) 3 5/8" X 5 1/8"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  DCWV The Travel Stack, White
Ink: PTI True black, Pacific Point (sponging on die cuts)
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink):  Delightful Dahlia (sentiment), Beautiful Bloom II
Accessories: Spellbinders Nestibilities Peony, Button, PTI Small Scallop die, I-top brad maker, SU Pacific Point Ribbon

Little Stinker Card - Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge - Video #10

HELLO!!! And Happy Saturday!

I made this card for one of my nieces who just recently had her wisdom teeth surgically (ooch!) removed!  On the inside I put a tooth cut out from A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge cut in white cardstock at 3 3/4" and on the tooth put "So sorry your wisdom teeth were such Stinkers!"  She has already gotten the card and said she loves it.  YEAH! Her mouth is still a little sore but is healing wonderfully.  Thank goodness!  My oldest daughter had hers cut out about a month ago and she got a dry socket which gave her really bad headaches.  Those teeth are little stinkers!

Hope you like it!

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Lovely Lilac (retiring in July 2010) 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  SU Apricot Appeal (retiring soon) 4 X 5 1/4
Other Cardstock / Paper: White 3 3/4" X 5", Stump in Really Rust (retiring soon), top of stump in Appricot Appeal, Black, Skunk layer in Kraft, leaf in Green Galore (retiring soon), & little nose in Pretty in Pink
Ink: SU Lovely Lilac
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) Asian Fusion
Accessories: Cricut, Create a Critter & A Child's Year Cartridge, Glitter Dimensionals

All Skunk and Stump pieces were cut at 2 1/4".  Remember to keep Real Dial size OFF so your pieces will be proportional or you will end up with a HUGE nose!  LOL!!!
