You Rock, Lumiere Card - Dreams Come True Cartridge

Here's a card I made for my son who was Lumiere in his school play, Beauty and the Beast.  He did such a great job!  I made the card at a craft day and was using someone else's Cricut and I think her blade was in need of changing.  So Lumiere came out a little jagged.  I tried different settings but this was the best I could get her machine to do.  He loved it anyway!!  I hope you enjoy it too!

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Real Red 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  SU So Saffron 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  DP 4" X 3 1/4" just from my stash!, black, white, blush blossom
Ink: SU Basic Gray
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) Signature Greetings
Accessories: Scrap red velvet ribbon from my stash!  Cricut Expression and Dreams Come True Cartridge, and dimensionals

My Lumiere!

Don't we look alike!
Especially with all that stage make up my son has on!

Pregnancy Update!

Yesterday I had my big check everything ultrasound, and we found out that we are have having a boy!! My husband and I are very pleased as we were hoping for another boy. However, I have a VERY upset 6 year old daughter who was wanting another little sister. My 3 year old son is very happy!!! He has been telling us all along that he already has a little sister so it has to be a little brother! Of course, my other sons are extremely glad that they will be out numbering the girls. We all feel so blessed to be able to add to our family. Even the 6 six year old will be happy once she holds her little baby brother, I am sure. I hope!!

Thanks so much for checking in!

Have a great day!!

PTI Paperdolls Challenge

I made this card a couple of weeks (or more) ago for a PTI Paperdolls Challenge.   Thanks Amy for a great sketch challenge! I so wanted to get back into the groove with the challenges I like to participate in, but just didn't have it in me to get it pictured, uploaded, and posted.  PICTURED, UPLOADED, AND POSTED, OH MY!!  However, every day I am feeling a little better and with a little more energy.  Of course, when I get into the third trimester that might be another story!!!

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Night of Navy 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)  After doing all the graduations cards and having quite a bit of BIG "scraps" you might see a lot of cards with Night of Navy.
Card front:  SU River Rock 4 X 5 1/4
Other Cardstock / Paper:  True Thyme Retired '07 In Color
Ink: SU Night of Navy
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) All About You Additions
Accessories: Night of Navy 1/4" ribbon, 1 3/8" circle punch, A lot of different SU markers,  I painted on Iridescent Medium on the center of the flowers for a little sparkle.  I don't think the picture does it justice.

I did the "scalloped" border using a 1 3/8" circle punch!

Thanks so much for visiting!

Graduation Cards - Gypsy & Locker Talk Cartridge

Things have calmed down a little around here and I am starting to feel better and BIGGER and not like I need to sleep all the time.  So....., I am finally getting these gradutaion cards uploaded and posted.  My daughter helped in getting these made and put together.  We made about 75!!!

I used the Cricut Cartridge "From My Kitchen" with my Gypsy to make the strip on the bottom.  Any cartridge with a square or rectangle would work with either a Gypsy or Design Studio.  I then just put the size "Real Dial Size" I wanted:  4.75" X .5".   The Gradutaion Cap is from the Locker Talk Cartridge.  Using my Cricut really helped in getting all these made.  I love it for making cards and other projects but find my Cricut irreplaceable when mass producing.

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Night of Navy 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  Marigold Morning 4 X 5 1/4  ( I am so glad that this color is one of my daughter's high school colors, as I have some extra of this retired '07 In Color)
Other Cardstock / Paper: White
Ink: SU More Mustard (numbers), Night of Navy
Stamps: PTI (Papertrey Ink) For the Graduate Stamp Set - I am little disappointed in this set.  The numbers that come with it did not fit together very well or in the "Class of " space.  I am usually extremely happy with my PTI purchases.   Anyway, I used numbers from a random set I actually got at Oriental Trading Company.
Accessories: SU Night of Navy  1/4" ribbon, Cuttlebug and Argyle embossing folder, PTI Mat Stack 1 die.

This is the inside.  On the top we adhered a typed up "announcement" part of the card.  Then in the pocket we put a collage picture of my beautiful daughter.  Under the picture we put a quote:  "Graduation is not the conclusion of an achievement, but simply the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another chapter." - Thomas S. Monson

These were typed up and cut with a paper trimmer.

This is a before picture.  I used my Accucut manual die cutter and the A2 Card - Pocket die.

Thanks so much for visiting my website today!
