Playing with Felt

Okay, so I'm probably the last person in the crafting world to play with felt and I thought I would just buy some cheap felt at wal-mart!  Well, my cricut wouldn't cut it even on multi-cut and then I decided to try my PTI dies and when that didn't work I figured out it must be the felt!  It is, like I said, just some cheap felt in the kid crafts section. So I had to get out the big guns!  I used my Accucut, a professional manual cutter, which will cut ANYTHING, I think!!!

Here's what I came up with:

Recipe:
Card Base: SU  Pear Pizzazz 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  White 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  SU I Wish Simply Scrappin Kit
Ink: Melon Mambo
Stamps:  SU Bring on the Cake
Accessories:  Felt, Accucut, Flowers #16 die, scrap ribbon, brad

Thanks so much for visiting me while I am
Hiding in My Craft Room!

  2. Lovely card Laurie! Great colors. I don't even want to know what an Accucut is, but I'm glad it worked for you. Once you try PTI's felt you'll be in love:)

  4. This is such a pretty card Laurie! Yes, I have to say that I tried to use "cheap" felt and it was a no go as well. Go PTI all the way! You won't be sorry! :)

  5. This is so cute, Laurie! You are not the last person to play with felt...I have a small stash in my craft room that I have been "meaning" to do something with. Heehee! That patterned paper is the perfect compliment to your flower, too! :)

  6. Cute! Your flower is gorgeous!

I had the same problem with cheap felt but I bought cheap interfacing(?) that irons on to the back of the felt and makes it sturdy enough to use with my dies. I haven't tried in my Cricut because I was worried about all the fuzz causing an issue with the machine.
