Firemen Appreciation!

Last night we had our monthly crop that I hadn't been to in a quite a while.  It was soooo much fun!  I didn't get much accomplished though, as usual!  Well, this time at least I have a good excuse!  It was POURING down rain when I got there and so I didn't take my stuff in at first.  Last night was the annual swap where we get to take our unused items and sell or if your like me just take some cash and buy, buy, buy!!!  LOL!!  So I just spent the first part of the night checking out what everyone had for sale and eating snacks!  Then my husband brought the baby by for me to nurse then after that I got busy!  Sortof!

A fellow cropper was taking up appreciation cards to give to the local Fire Department and I figured I should at least get a card done for the cause!  And that is ALL I did!  : )

Here's what I came up with:

Fireman and layers were cut at 4" from Everyday Paper Dolls.

Card Base: SU  Very Vanilla 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  Yo Yo Yellow  4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  Red scraps from a friend (Can you believe I didn't have any red cardstock?!), Chocolate Chip, Black, scrap from a DCWV stack
Ink:  Riding Hood Red
Stamps:   PTI Year of the Flowers:  Lily of the Valley (sentiment!)
Accessories:  Cuttlebug & SU Square Lattice & Checkerboard embossing folders , Cricut & Everyday Paper Dolls, scrap ribbon from my bin that I carry EVERYWHERE!

Thanks so much for visiting me while I am
Hiding in My Craft Room!

  8. Very nice! I especially liked the choice of sentiment and the fonts that it contained, since most firemen are men, it was manly yet had a feminine twist. Great choice. Thanks for sharing.
