A Card for My Hubby!

My hard working husband is out of town this week so I decided to make him a card.  He loves it when I do, and I get to justify all the money I spend on crafts since I make him things!  It's a win-win!

Here's what I came up with:

I sanded the middle blue piece to give it a little more dimension.  I wanted to use ribbon there but can you believe I didn't have ANY that would match?  I even tried to dye some white ribbon, soaking it overnight, but it just wasn't turning dark enough.  Anyway, I always use ribbon!

Sentiment circles were cut at 2", 2.25", & 2.5".
Corner pieces were cut at 1".
Both images are from Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Recipe:
Card Base: SU Real Red 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:   White 4 1/8" X 5 3/8",  DCWV The Stack 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  Not Quite Navy
Ink:  Real Red
Stamps:  CTMH Mad About You
Accessories:  Cricut & Art Philosophy cartridge, Cuttlebug & Brickyard embossing folder,

Thanks so much for visiting me while I am

  2. I like the brickyard embossing & the card needs no ribbon. Wonderful card for your hubby.
