HIMCR #31 - Valentine's Day Project

Happy Saturday!!

The challenge this week, the 4th and last Saturday of the month, is Mix It Up!  I named it that so we could keep it different from month to month.  The challenge this time is to make an untradional Valentine's Day Project.  It can be a scrapbook page, a card, a tag, an altered item, any paper project!  Please use HIMCR31 code when uploading to online galleries.  You have until Friday, February 3rd to link up your creation to get entered into the monthly drawing this the last week of the month.

Here's what I came up with:

All the images were cut out from the Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Card Base:  SU Early Espresso 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:  SU Confetti Cream 4 1/8" X 5 3/8", DCWV the Natural Stack 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  more of the paper mentioned
Ink:  SU Early Espresso
Stamps:   CTMH Art Philosophy Tags, Blue Ribbon, and Mad About You
Accessories:  Cuttlebug , Cricut & Art Philosophy cartridge, PTI Dark Chocolate ribbon,

You can see the HIMCR schedule of challenges and guidelines HERE!  Please be sure and follow the few easy guidelines so your creation will get entered into the monthly giveaway!!!

Just a few guidelines:
1.  The current weekly challenge linky will be up until Friday night at midnight MST.  Be sure and link your creation back to the actual post and not just your blog home page.
2.  When posting your creation on your blog or online gallery please link it back to this challenge.  This helps me to spread the word and the FUN!
3.  Please create something new for the current challenge and NOT use something you've made previously.  However, you can combine a HIMCR challenge with other challenges. It is always fun to complete more than one challenge at a time!
4.  The winner of the monthly giveaway will be posted the 8th of the following month!
5. Have FUN!!
6. Let me know if I forgot something!

Thanks so much for visiting me while I am

  1. What a fabulous Valentine card! I love the color and all the patterns! Great work!

  2. Great card! I love the mix of patterns.

  3. What a sweet greeting. Love the added vintage ticket.

  4. If I read correctly you indicate the project must be untraditional. Not sure I understand unless you mean use non-Valentine colors as in your card or make something that is not thought of for Valentine's Day as a Valentine project?
