600 Follower Giveaway #2!!

Is one giveaway enough to celebrate all of you and your support?!  I don't think so!  So here's another one:  A Gypsy Silicone Skin!  I LOVE mine!  It protects my Gypsy and even comes with a screen protector, and an extra stylus which was good for me because for some reason I can't keep up with my stylus!

These are great for protecting your Gypsy device from normal wear and tear. This protective silicone skin comes with a matching stylus, lanyard, and screen protector.

Just leave ONE comment on this post to get entered into this giveaway drawing!  You don't have to be a follower to enter but I'm always thankful when you decide to!

The winner will be chosen using random.org and posted on Monday, February 6th.

HIMCR #30 - Baby Wipe Technique

I hope everyone is having a great Saturday!!

The challenge this week, the 3rd week of the month, is Time for a Technique SATURDAY:  HIMCR30 (please use this code when uploading to online galleries).  The technique is the Baby Wipe technique (see tutorial below).  I hope you like it!  I have had at least one child in diapers for over 7 years so of course I have baby wipes and I know many stampers use them to clean off their stamps.  I really like the effect from this technique and will be using it again!

You have until Friday, January 27th to link up your baby wipe creation to get entered into the monthly drawing this week.

Here's what I came up with:

Recipe:
Card Base: SU Dusty Durango  4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:   SU Chocolate Chip 4 1/8" X 5 3/8",  Always Artichoke 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  More Mustard
Ink:  Chocolate Chip, reinkers
Stamps:   PTI Leaf Prints & Masculine Motifs (sentiment)
Accessories:  Cuttlebug & Floral Screen (brushed over lightly with white ink pad), SU Dusty Durango ribbon, SU label punches & corner punch, brads

Here's the tutorial:

All you need is:

A Baby Wipe
Solid image stamps (I used Leaf Prints from Papertreyink.com)
reinkers
paper plate or scrap paper

Randomly add drops of ink from the reinkers onto the baby wipe folded in half.
Be sure and place the wipe on something to keep your work area clean.

Ink up your stamp using the ink pad you have created.
Stamp image!
Every image will be a little different!
Here I used the coordinating Papertreyink Leaf dies to precut my leaf.
This technique is so easy and so much fun!  I hope you enjoy it too!

NOW IT'S YOUR TURN!

You can see the HIMCR schedule of challenges and guidelines HERE!  Please be sure and follow the few easy guidelines so your creation will get entered into the monthly giveaway!!!

Just a few guidelines:

A Card for My Hubby!

My hard working husband is out of town this week so I decided to make him a card.  He loves it when I do, and I get to justify all the money I spend on crafts since I make him things!  It's a win-win!

Here's what I came up with:

I sanded the middle blue piece to give it a little more dimension.  I wanted to use ribbon there but can you believe I didn't have ANY that would match?  I even tried to dye some white ribbon, soaking it overnight, but it just wasn't turning dark enough.  Anyway, I always use ribbon!

Sentiment circles were cut at 2", 2.25", & 2.5".
Corner pieces were cut at 1".
Both images are from Art Philosophy Cartridge.

Recipe:
Card Base: SU Real Red 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front:   White 4 1/8" X 5 3/8",  DCWV The Stack 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper:  Not Quite Navy
Ink:  Real Red
Stamps:  CTMH Mad About You
Accessories:  Cricut & Art Philosophy cartridge, Cuttlebug & Brickyard embossing folder,

Cartridge Winner!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

We had such a great New Year!  We had friends here all the way from Holloman Air Force Base, NM to help us ring in the new year.  The entire time they were here we stayed up late and of course still had to get up with the kiddos.  I was so tired and wore out from too much fun that I caught a little bug.  I think I slept all day yesterday while my husband watched the kids!

Anyway, I think I'm good now and ready to get my crafty groove back on!  Not to mention, kids are back in school.  I'm so bad at keeping a schedule when they are home.  We just tend to play all day!

On with the winner .....
