I haven't done a Splitcoaststampers challenge is so long but when Mary entered the HIMCR challenge this week (HIMCR #105 - Red & Green) and combined it with the color challenge going on at SCS (FYI, theirs was posted on Tuesday!) I decided I would check it out! Plus, they are having a two week long challenge and the winners get to be guest designers on SCS! How fun would that be! Thank you Mary for reminding of a place I used to frequent!
The Splitcoaststampers challenge: CC434 is to use Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, and Cherry Cobbler. These are all Stampin Up colors but you can use whatever you have that is a close match. The name of the challenge is Christmas Cake with a Green Cherry! I actually used Wild Wasabi instead of Gumball Green and can I just say that they are soooo close that I doubt if anyone (or hardly anyone) would ever know the difference. Anyway, that is why mine is called Christmas Cake with a Wild Cherry! Heehee! Aren't I cute!
Here's what I came up with:
Puppy was cut at 4" from the Creat a Critter 2 cartridge.
I guess you could say this cartridge has been my focus cartridge for the last couple of months.
So much cute, fun stuff in it!
Card Base: Cherry Cobbler 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front: Wild Wasabi 4" X 5 1/4", 3 3/4" X 5
Other Cardstock / Paper: Black, White, Wild Wasabi DP, Crumb Cake
Ink: Cherry Cobbler and marker
Stamps: PTI Mega Mixed Messages
Accessories: Cricut & Create a Critter 2 cartridge, Cuttlebug & Petal a Plenty and Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, Fancy Pants All Fall Gingham ribbon, Copic Opaque White, buttons! Liquid Appliqué.
