I decided to enter the second and final week of the Splitcoaststampers' color challenge to be in the running for a guest designer position. Since I did it last week I thought I better at least try! They have new color challenges posted EVERY Tuesday!
The challenge this week is to use the following colors: Baked Brown Sugar, Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla, and Crisp Cantaloupe. I had to take a little break from 'Christmas in July'. These colors were just NOT going to work. I actually did consider it but ....... NOT! NOPE! No way! These colors were challenging enough for me! You can see more details about the challenge, SCS CC435 A Vanilla, Sugar Crisp, Wonder , HERE. Remember they might have only Stampin Up colors listed but anything that matches can be use. I have a not so up to date color comparison of Stampin Up and Papertrey Ink Colors: HERE! I really need to order the new colors but I haven't ordered from PTI in a very long time.
Here's what I came up with:
Center pieces were cut at 3.5" and outer at 4" from the Artiste Cricut cartridge.
Card Base: Baked Brown Sugar 4 1/4" X 5 1/2" (folded)
Card front: Crisp Cantaloupe 4" X 5 1/4"
Other Cardstock / Paper: Wisteria Wonder, Very Vanilla, imaginisce All Kinds of Happy
Ink: Baked Brown Sugar, Wisteria Wonder
Stamps: CTMH A Blossom
Accessories: Cricut & CTMH Artiste cartridge, Cuttlebug Perfectly Paisley embossing folder, SU ribbon originals Fairy Tale, CTMH mini Medley Smoothie medallion, SU Pretties kit, SU Pearls, punches, brayer.
Confession: I've had the SU Pretties kit for a looooong time. However, I opened it for this challenge! I don't know if they even still sell it! It's the little extra, 'Dessert', part of the SCS challenge.
