HIMCR #163 - Freestyle!

Happy Saturday!

What a week I've had! We, my son and I, left on Tuesday to drive to Provo, Utah to get him all moved into his dorm at BYU! It was fun to have the time just me and him! Then we had a day of orientation meetings and fun! We have some family about an hour away and that's where I am typing this from; however, by the time you see it I will be on plane heading home leaving one of my babies behind! :( I know he'll be fine. He's ready to be on his own and he is smart and will make good choices. It's me that will NOT be fine! LOL! I will miss the little booger! I keep thinking back to when he was a little boy and it makes me think how fast time flies, how I don't want to miss an oppoutunity with my younger kids, and him, to tell them I love them and how proud I am of them! I want to enjoy every hug, smile, laugh, and just sit and listen to their little small voices before it changes! Ok, sorry, I'm a little emotional and a lot reminiscent! On with the challenge!

This week it is:

  4. Fun challenge! Fantastic DT projects!'
Laurie, I know how you feel. They grow up so fast.
I was blessed with a handsome nephew who is 22 yrs. old. He is still his Auntie's baby.On the day of all his birthday , we always buy a cake and sing the birthday song, I always cry and get all teary. Funny thing that now he stares at me just waiting for tears to start rolling....LOL! One day he asked me why do you cry if I am okay and its my birthday so his mom my sister answered "Those are happy tears" because of how proud she is with you and how much she loves you.... he then said okay Auntie its ok to cry..LOL
    Have a wonderful day,

  5. Laurie, I totally understand how you feel. I have 4 girls, my youngest is 14, my oldest is 24, well second oldest just moved out into her own apartment, it's been at least a few weeks now but I still am in tears when I think of her being gone out on her own. I think we all feel that way cause we are so used to being their 24/7 that when they are ready to fly we just don't want them to get hurt. lol But that is life, right. Now I am going on ......sorry. I am glad you got to spend time with him. Thanks for sharing with us. :D
Also I love the challenge Freestyle. And the DT creations are just beautiful.
